Montana Legacy By R.C. Ryan

They're the McCords...three rugged, sexy cowboy cousins who'll inherit the family range--if they seek the treasure hidden on it. But even more precious are the women who can tame their wild hearts...

The McCord ranch is set in the majesty of beautiful Montana with great detail. Jesse McCord is following in his grandfathers and past grandfathers foot steps, to find the buried treasure on the Lost Nugget ranch. Jesse's grandfather "Coot" whom the towns people name a "crazy old coot" for searching for the lost treasure falls prey to the supposed legendary curse of the McCord treasure.

Jesse is reunited with his long lost cousins Zane and Wyatt whom were all as close as brothers when they were younger, but not returning to the ranch after years has left Jesse resentful towards them. All the while Jesse has spent many years working hard to maintain the few hundred thousand acres on the Lost Nugget.

Being reunited with his cousins isn't the only one Jesse is reunited with.... Amy Parrish, Jesse's long ago girlfriend that left in the middle of a night without a word to him and suddenly shows up at his grandfathers funeral. Amy's father has a long and deep hatred for the McCord family and unfortunately he is fallen ill with sickness, that I assume is cancer, but is never really said what he is sick with. Also after years of being away Amy is now home for awhile to help her father and take care of their ranch.

Old Coot's will reads that all the land is to be split equally between the three cousins, only if they all assume the ranch life and continue the search for the lost treasure. If they decide that ranch life isn't for them they would receive half a million dollars. This makes Jesse furious knowing that his cousins didn't even have the courtesy to come back and visit.

Jesse and Amy slowly work their way back to each other, just as mysterious things start to happen to Amy. The three cousins also slowly sort things out between them and they band together to help find out what is going on at the Parrish ranch.

It's not one of my total favorites, but it is a good one and a fast read. One thing that kind of got to me about the book was that Amy's father is sick and that author doesn't tell you what he is sick with. R.C. Ryan did have me wondering who was behind what was happening to Amy though. Despite all the little flaws I did enjoy this book and it really kept me interested in it. Soon I will be posting a review on the story of Wyatt, next in the Montana Destiny series.

WAT-AAH!!

Last week I was contacted by Christine from the Don't Drink ____, Drink WAT-AAH campaign to do a review of their product. I was so thrilled because this is my first review and it is something that I truly believe in and support with a passion!

WAT-AAH is a company that was founded by Rose Cameron and her son Jack “to reverse children’s dependency on sodas and other sugary drinks and participate in the fight against the biggest health threat facing the country today…childhood obesity.” I myself hardly ever drink soda and needless to say my girls don’t get a lot of it either.

I received four of the different kinds of WAT-AAH the other day and as soon as my daughter Joclyn saw them she was jumping up and down with pure excitement. I read the labels to her: BODY, BRAIN, POWER, & ENERGY! Of course her favorite one was BRAIN, because it was blue(her favorite color). I asked her which one she wanted to try out first and she said ENERGY, "cuz I need some extra ENERGY mom." She drank some and then asked me if I wanted some more energy. I tried it and hey it's some great water! She took BRAIN to school in her lunch and she said that all the other kids loved it. When she brought the bottle home I noticed that the label wasn't on it, so I asked her what happened to it. "The girl on the bus really liked it and wanted it so we took it off and I gave it to her." I thought all right spread the word about WAT-AAH!!!

Here are a few facts about water:

Water helps to maintain healthy body weight by rising metabolism and regulating hunger.

Water leads to greater levels of energy. The most frequent cause of fatigue is essentially mild dehydration.

Soda, tea, and, coffee are almost completely made of water, but also contain caffeine. Caffeine acts as a slight diuretic, which inhibits water from reaching necessary locations in the body.

For some sufferers of joint and back pain water can considerably reduce these ailments.

The number one essential for the body’s survival is water. A person can only live about a week without water.

Water is absolutely essential to the human body’s survival. A person can live for about a month without food, but only about a week without water.

A Great Book

As a mom it's hard to find time to read. After the girls are put into bed I get on the computer for a little bit and then escape to whole new world with a great book. Even if it’s just a few pages that I might get to read, that's a few minutes of ESCAPE!! For me to really love a book it has to meet a certain criteria in order for me to fully enjoy it and finish reading.

1. The words just have to flow right.

2. Historical- Whether it be fictional or non fiction t has to have the old world flare to it. I have a passion for history and could easily fit in back in time.

3. It has to keep my attention, either with a good romance or mystery.

Awhile back I had entered a giveaway at to win a book at
January Wish called Wild Heart by Lori Brighton. This is Lori's first book and she did an amazing job and I just have to say that this is now one of my new favorites! This book just touched me in a way that I can't even describe; maybe it just got my creative juices flowing again.

After reading Lori’s book I immediately went to her web site to just poke around and see if she had anymore books out. Well, to my surprise she has one that will be coming out next year! Her next book Wild Desire follows Colin from Wild Heart!

If you love a good book then you should really check out
Wild Heart by Lori Brighton. You won’t regret it!!

Casio Exilim EX-FC100 & Jill-e Designs Camera Wristlet

Wahoo!! I just entered to win a Casio Exilim EX-FC100 hosted by The Shopping Mama! I also entered to win a Camera Wristlet by Jill-e Designs hosted by Baby Loving Mama!!

Ok, I could really use a new camera and great new camera bag. My camera is oh, about 5 years old and I thought it was 4 megapixels, but in fact when I looked at it, it is only 2! The Casio Exilim EX-FC100 is Approx. 9.1 megapixels /million)! Wow, how time flys and things change so much. The last year or so the dang thing has been eating batteries left and right. I had rechargeables but it killed them. I can put in batteries and use it a few times shut the carera off and turn it back on in a day or so and the batteries are dead. Thus, when I really need the camera I can't just grab it and take a pic because the batteries are dead. This keeps posing a big problem when trying to capture all those special moments with the girls. Also for that reason I don't have many pics on my blog yet.

I bought my camera bag the same time as I purchased my camera and it is just one of the cheap genaric camera bags that everyone has. It's an ugly black and green canvas, need I say more..... The Camera Wristlet by Jill-e Designs is more like a mini little purse! They are so cute and fashionable!
